About Mr. Bernau
Years at Good Shepherd: This is my fourth!
Previous teaching experience: I spent two summers teaching in inner-city Milwaukee with the Center for Urban Teaching (CfUT), and did my student teaching in Milwaukee and St. Louis.
Family: My wife Paige and I got married last year. I have eight siblings and ten nieces and nephews (my entire immediate family is pictured below)! We also have a cat- who coincidentally is the cutest cat in the whole wide world, named Chandler (for the character on Friends!).
Hometown: Courtland, Minnesota
College: Concordia University Wisconsin (Go Falcons!)
Favorite Hobbies: Reading, running, following sports, playing board/card games, disc golf
Favorite Bible Passage: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” -Romans 8:28
Why I teach: I love inspiring and leading other people and my faith is the most important thing in my life. Teaching gives me a great opportunity to inspire and lead for God's purpose.
